Ander Herrera is not about to quit Manchester United to join Paris Saint-Germain.
MEN Sport understands reports in Spain this morning that claim Herrera is close to agreeing terms with the French champions are wide of the mark.
Herrera's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire in the summer but United are hopeful of convincing him to sign an extension and the player's camp also expect him to stay put.
The Basque midfielder is one of three United players whose contracts are up at the end of the season.
Antonio Valencia is set to leave on a free transfer this summer after the club decided against triggering a one-year extension in his contract.
Juan Mata's contract is also up at the end of June and he is understood to want a two-year deal to commit his future to United. Mata turns 31 in April and it has been common practice at United to offer 30-something players one-year contracts with the option of an additional year that rests with the club.
